Jane Ann Peddicord grew
up in the rolling hills of
Iowa. She went on to
teach, study, and practice
law in several parts of the
world, all the while hoping
to one day write for
children. She now lives
and writes in the rolling
hills near Austin, Texas.

Her first book, NIGHT WONDERS won the 2006
International Reading Association Children’s Book
Award in the category of Primary-Nonfiction.
THAT SPECIAL LITTLE BABY, a picture book
celebrating baby beginnings and toddler triumphs, came
out September 1, 2007 and was welcomed with
outstanding reviews.
Ms. Peddicord was a featured author at the Texas Book
Festival in 2006 and in 2007.
