Lawyer turned children's
book author, Jane Ann
Peddicord grew up in the
rolling hills of Iowa. She
went on to study, teach
ESL, and practice law in
several parts of the world.
She now lives and writes in
the Texas hill country, near
Austin.

Her first book, NIGHT WONDERS won the 2006
International Reading Association Children’s Book
Award in the category of Primary-Nonfiction.
THAT SPECIAL LITTLE BABY, a picture book
celebrating baby beginnings and toddler triumphs, was
recently released to high acclaim. See reviews.
Ms. Peddicord was a featured author at the Texas Book
Festival in 2006 and again in 2007. She was named the
'Author of the Month' for November 2007 by the Austin
area Barnes and Noble bookstores.
